Conducted on 31st May by National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai, for admissions to five-year integrated Master of Sciences (MSc) programmes, NEST exam is an objective-type exam with multiple choice questions. The NEST exam was held at 45 major towns and cities across India and the question paper has five sections consisting of questions on general science to subjects from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
