UPSC Combined Medical Services Exam 2014 Admit cards
UPSC has released the E-admit card for the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2014 which is to be held on June 22, 2014. Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) is Computer Based online exam. Candidates can download UPSC e-admit card by entering registration IDs or roll numbers and dates of birth. This UPSC CMS 2014 exam will have 2 Papers-Both Paper I and Paper II. The Paper I will be held in forenoon session from 10 AM to 12 pm (reporting time 8 AM) and Paper II in afternoon session from 3 PM to 5 PM (reporting time 1 PM). Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2014 exam online for the first time as previously the national level CMS Exam was conducted in OMR based exam format. Candidates going in for the UPSC CMS 2014 exam can also see the Demo tests at the official UPSC website so that they can become familiar with the computer based test format.
Every year, UPSC conducts Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) exam for recruitment of medical officers in different government departments. This CMS exam is held in two parts with a written exam and an interview/personality test. When the candidate is passed in UPSC CMS exam, they are eligible for the post of Medical Officer in govt. services such as Railways, Indian Ordnance Factories, Health Service, Central Health Services, East/North/South Delhi Municipal Corporation, New Delhi Municipal Council
UPSC CMS Paper Pattern
The Combined Medical Services written exam consists of two papers with objective-type multiple choice questions of 250 marks each. The Personality Test (interview) has 200 maximum marks.
Paper I -
General Ability: 30 questions
General Medicine: 70 questions
Pediatrics: 20 questions
Paper II -
Surgery: 40 questions
Gynecology and Obstetrics: 40 questions
Preventive and Social Medicine: 40 questions
