Gate 2015 application process begins 1st September 2014. Here is the paper pattern of Gate 2015
GATE 2015 Paper pattern:
The question paper contains 65 questions of 100 marks, including 10 questions of General Aptitude (GA) section of 15 marks.
Papers with the codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PI, TF and XE have the following pattern:
Engineering Mathematics - 15 per cent of the total marks
General Aptitude - 15 per cent of the total marks
Rest 70 per cent of the total marks is of the subject paper
Papers with the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL, have the following pattern:
General Aptitude - 15 per cent of the total marks
Rest 85 per cent of the total marks is of the subject paper
The GATE 2015 question papers consists of two types of questions:
(i) Multiple choice questions (MCQ) of objecive type with four options each of 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections.
(ii) Numerical answer questions of 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. Answer is a real number, answered through virtual keypad.
