The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) exam every year is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The EAMCET exam is held for admissions to undergraduate programs in Andhra Pradesh universities, private unaided colleges and affiliated professional colleges for the 2015 - 2016 academic year. Some of the prestigious programs include Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Science courses.
Candidates can take two tests of Engineering (E) and Agriculture and Medical (AM). Candidates can appear in one or both tests depending on the courses they want to apply to. Around 17,187 candidates wrote the engineering (E) stream exam and another 6,606 candidates appeared for the agriculture and medicine (AM) stream exam.
