10,47,652 students appeared in the Madhyamik examination this year, out of which 8,66,920 students passed in the Madhyamik examination calculating a pass percentage of 82.74, higher than the previous year's which was 82.66 percent. The West Bengal board held the Madhyamik exam 2017 for both regular as well as external candidates from February 1 to February 10, 2017.

WB Madhyamik 2016 toppers
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) declared the class 10 results today. Souvik Barman, student of Cooch Bihar Mathabhanga High School is the topper in Madhyamik examination with 683 marks, followed by Titas Dubey with 682 marks and Suvrajit Mondal with 681 marks.
Three students has got the second position in West Bengal Madhyamik examination-- Debdadatta Pal, Titas Dubey and Rumik Dutta with 682 marks, and two students have got the third position in WB Class 10th Results 2017-- Suvrajit Mondal and Anik Ghosh with 681 marks.
