The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main 2018 will be declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on April 30. Candidates can check the CBSE JEE (Main) results on the official website - jeemain.nic.in
The JEE (Mains) 2018 exam was conducted by the CBSE in pen and paper mode on April 18.

Steps to check JEE (MAIN) RESULTS 2018:

  • Visit the official website, jeemain.nic.in
  • Click on the result link
  • Enter all the information like Roll Number etc, and click submit
  • JEE Main 2018 Results will be displayed on the computer screen
  • You can download and take print out of the same for future use.

The computer-based examination of paper 1 of JEE (Main) 2018 was held at various centres located in 258 cities in the country and abroad.

JEE MAIN 2018 Expected Cut-off
The pen and paper exam of JEE (Main) - 2018 was slightly on a difficult side. 5-6 questions were framed quite differently in all the three subjects. There was no ambiguous question in the paper this year. There were some straightforward questions that could be solved by a student who has been preparing sincerely. But a big amount of questions required lengthy solutions.

Expected JEE Main 2018 cut off is 80 (+-5 per cent) marks out of 360. The paper was moderate and based on NCERT. Chemistry was most lengthy. Organic chemistry was a bit more difficult, Physical chemistry was more numerical, and Inorganic chemistry was still easy. Maths was mostly based on class 12 syllabus and was more formula based. Maximum questions were from Calculus. Physics was based on class 11 syllabus and a greater mphasis on Mechanics and Electrostatics."

There are three attempts a candidate can avail at JEE (Main).

Candidates who have successfully passed the JEE (Mains) 2018 exam will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam round. Students will be allotted colleges on the basis of these two written exams.

The Joint Entrance Exam is held every year for candidates seeking admissions in Under Graduate Engineering programmes in the prestigious IITs, NITs, IIITs and various other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions) across India.

The JEE Main Results 2018 is regarded as one of the important examinations in India. The JEE Main Result scorecards that enable the students to apply to prestigious colleges across India. Candidates are required to submit the admission application along with the valid JEE main Result 2018 score and counseling fee through the JEE main official website in order to get admission in any of these colleges in India.

Earlier, there was a report which suggested that 7-8 questions out of the 90 questions of the paper were taken from a model paper of a coaching institution. CBSE had later issued a statement which denied the report. The first phase of the 6th edition of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018 offline exam was held on April 8, 2018. Around 10,43,739 lakh candidates registered for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.
