Assam SM/ASM TET 2014, Assam TET Online Application Form 2014
Assam Teacher Eligibility Test for Siksha Mitras (SM) and Additional Siksha Mitras (ASM) 2014 under Government of Assam, starts from September 1, 2014. The Assam SM/ASM TET 2014 is to be conducted for current Siksha Mitras and Additional Siksha Mitras for teaching at Lower Primary classes i.e. Class I-V in Assam. Candidates who have served as SM/ASM in any of the 5,015 EGS centres can apply for SM/ASM TET 2014. The Assam TET examination is on October 19, 2014.
Eligibility
Candidate must be Assam's permanent resident and have completed Class 12 or equivalent with minimum 50 per cent marks and have a 2 year Diploma in Education or 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 4 year Bachelor degree in Elementary Education.
Note: Candidates whose graduation is completed from any UGC recognized university are exempted from the percentage requirement at Class 12 level.
Paper Pattern
The SM/ASM TET 2014 exam has multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each, in 5 sections like:
1. Child Development and Pedagogy
2. Language I (Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Hmar, Karbi, Nepali, Manipuri, Garo or Alternative English)
3. Language II - English
4. Mathematics
5. Environmental Studies
No negative marking is applied in the Assam TET examination 2014.
How to apply
Candidates who sees themselves completing the eligibility crtiteria can apply online and get a fee payment challan generated which the candidates have to submit it to any branch of State Bank of India and pay the application fee (Rs 500), the bank issues transaction ID which can be used to complete the online application procedure.
