The Kerala TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) exam is to be held in the month of October from 3rd October to 17th October. Kerala TET exam is held by the government of Kerala for selecting candidates for the posts of Teachers in government schools of Kerala. Candidates scoring 60 percent or more in the K-TET examination are considered passed in the KTET exam. Currently no penalty is being applied for wrong answers. Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala is the responsible body that manages the overall Kerala TET examination every year and publishes the notification regarding the date, time, duration and other details related to K-TET 2015.

Kerala TET Eligibility criteria
The KTET 2015 will be for four categories:
Teacher for Lower Primary classes (Category I):
Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 per cent marks and two year Trained Teachers' Certificate (TTC) or two years Diploma in Elementary Education. Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or two years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Teacher for Upper Primary classes (Category II):
B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. with minimum 45 per cent marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers' Certificate (TTC) or one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education or B.A/B.Sc./B.Ed
Teacher for High School classes (Category III):
BA/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 45 per cent marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned.
For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, those who have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned with not less than 50 per cent marks from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT are eligible to apply.
Language teacher up to Upper Primary classes (Category IV):
Candidates who have acquired qualifications for the posts of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level), Specialist teachers & Physical Education teachers as mentioned in Chapter XXXI of KERALA EDUCATION ACT AND RULES are eligible to apply for K-TET IV.
Candidates, who have acquired Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in teaching in any subject, and are approved by Universities/NCTE/ Board of Examinations/ Government of Kerala, are eligible to apply.

The candidates can apply online on the official website and an application fee of Rs 500 has to be paid by the candidates. SC/ST category candidates have to pay Rs 250 for this exam and keep the print out of the same.
