CBSE Class 10th English Exam 2018: Two marks Compensation for typing errors
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to provide two marks compensation to Class 10 students for a typing error in the English question paper conducted on March 12 this year.
Typing Errors in Comprehension Section of English Exam:
As per an online petition by students, students had to read a passage and write synonyms for the words 'endurance, obstruction, and motivation'. But the paragraphs they were supposed to look at were marked incorrectly. Several teachers and students had approached the CBSE Board and mentioned that the English paper had certain errors in the comprehension passage section.
CBSE Official Takes Notice:
One of CBSE official has said, "The typing error has been noticed and it has been Board's policy to not let students face any disadvantage. The marking scheme has been decided in the interest of students and all those who appeared for the particular question will be awarded two marks."
The CBSE Class 10 and 12 board examinations began on March 5 and will conclude by April 25.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by Union Government of India. CBSE has asked all schools affiliated to follow only NCERT curriculum.
