SBI Associate Bank PO Recruitment Selection Process

SBI Associate Bank PO Recruitment Shortlisting criteria

Phase I: This phase will consist of objective test carrying 200 marks and descriptive test weighing 50 marks. The objective test will be held online. After the online objective test, descriptive test will be made available on computer (Online) and candidates will have to write the answers on the answer sheet.

Objective Test: a duration of two hours duration segregating into four sections carrying 50 marks each (total 200 marks) as follows:
Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc);
Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers;
Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation;
Test of Reasoning (high level);

Descriptive Test: Duration of one hour carrying 50 marks. The test will be based on English Language (comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay).
Only the candidates who have scored qualifying marks in the objective test will have their descriptive tests evaluated.

Phase II: Candidates passing in Phase 1 will be called for this phase. This phase carries 50 marks. A group discussion of (20 marks) and an interview of (30 marks).

Final Selection: The final selection will be made on the basis of marks secured in Phase I and Phase II, combined.

The marks secured by the candidates in the written test (out of 250 marks) will be converted to out of 75 and marks secured in group discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) will be converted to out of 25. The final merit list will thereafter be formed after converting the aggregated marks of written test and group discussion and interview out of 100 for each category.

SBI PO Associate Bank Recruitment: Application Process

State Bank of India has invited applications for recruitment at 2, 986 posts of posts of Associate Bank Probationary Officers (PO). 415 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) category, 533 seats for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, 743 are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and 1, 295 are for the general category candidates. Candidates can apply for the SBI PO registration process like this:

Opening date for registration: September 1, 2014
Closing date for registration: September 18, 2014
Payment of fees - offline: September 3 - September 20, 2014
Call letters for written examination: October 27, 2014
Date of examination: November 2014 (Tentatively)

The candidates should first scan their photograph and signature and fill in the application completely. Photograph should be recent passport size colour picture;
The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white background. For signature, The applicants are required to sign on white paper with black ink pen;
The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.

The fee can be paid in two modes:
