For recruitment of teachers in the state of Andhra Pradesh, APTET conducted the examination 2014 on 16th March 2014 as it was previously postponed from 9th Feburary 2014. This eligibility test is conducted by the Department of School Education. Online applications are invited from the Office of the Director. It is essential to pass APTET for all candidates who are D.ED, B.ED or Language Pandit or holders of equivalent degrees and are intending to enter the teaching profession in schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zila Parishad, Municipality, Private Aided and Unaided schools. Even if the candidates are APTET qualified, they can still appear for APTET a second time in case they are trying to improve upon their previous TET score.
APTET is held in two papers. The first paper would be for candidates seeking employment for classes I to V and the second paper is for classes VI to VIII. Someone who is willing can sit for both the papers to be able to teach classes I to VIII.
