UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Result 2014

Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2014 results will be announced soon by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC),  Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2014 was conducted by UPSC in the month of August 24. UPSC will announce the Civil services results soon in the second week of October. The civil services examinations is the first step for selection of candidates in the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The second phase is of Mains written examination along a personality test after which the final results are announced.

Candidates can check UPSC Civil Services Exam results 2014 from the official website of UPSC - www.upsc.gov.in. Around 4.5 lakh candidates participated in the preliminary examination. The Civil Services preliminary exam was objective in nature, in the areas of General Studies and General Aptitude.

Candidates who successfully pass the prelim examination should start preparing for the civil services main examination 2014 which is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2014.

UPSC SCRA Result 2014

UPSC has announced the Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam (SCRA) 2014 Results conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) on January 12, 2014. Candidates can check the roll numbers to see if they have passed the SCRA 2014 exam and have qualified for the Personality Test/Interview, which are readily available on the official website of UPSC. A total of 225 candidates have passed in the UPSC SCRA 2014 written exam and one can view the link to the list of roll numbers having cleared the SCRA 2014 written exam at the last of this post.

In accordance with the Rules of examination, all these candidates are required to fill up the Detailed Application Form (D.A.F.), which is available on the Commission’s Website http://www.upsc.gov.in and submit the same ONLINE. The DAF will be available on the website of the Commission from 26.05.2014 to 10.06.2014 till 11.59 PM. Important instructions regarding filling up of the DAF and submitting the same ONLINE to the Commission are also available on the website. The candidates who have been declared successful have to first get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the ONLINE Detailed Application Form. The qualified candidates are further advised to refer to the Rules of the Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination, 2014 published in the gazette of India, dated 05.10.2013, which are also available on the website of the Commission. After submitting the DAF duly filled in ONLINE, the candidates are required to take out a printout of the finally submitted DAF separately and will have to send the printed copy of the DAF, duly signed by the candidates, along with all relevant documents, to the Under Secretary (SCRA), Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, so as to reach the Commission’s Office latest by 16.06.2014. The envelope containing the printout of the DAF submitted ONLINE should be superscribed “DAF for Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination, 2014”. It can also be delivered at UPSC by hand till 16.06.2014 (5.00 P.M.). In the event of non-receipt of ink singed copy of the DAF, the candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.

UPSC Geologist Exam Result 2013

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
Based on the result of the written examination held by UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION in November 2013 and Personality Test subsequently in March 2014, the following are the lists , in order of merit, of candidates who have been recommended for appointment to the posts of Category I and Category II Geologists. The total number of candidates recommended for appointment to Category I i.e. for Geologist, Gr A and Asstt. Geologists, Grade-I Gr B are 45 , which include 20 General ( incl. 01 PH candidate) , 14 Other Backward Class, 08 Scheduled Caste , 03 Scheduled Tribe candidates. The total number of candidates recommended for appointment in Category II i.e. for Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Gr A and Assistant Hydrogeologists, Gr B are 43 , which include 17 General , 13 Other Backward Class, 06 Scheduled Caste , 07 Scheduled Tribe candidates. No candidate has qualified under PH category.

The result of 27 candidates has been withheld. For Category-I posts , Commission is maintaining a Reserve List of 14 candidates ( 07 General, 05 OBC and 02 SC candidates) ranking in order of merit below the last recommended candidate. UPSC Result 2011, UPSC Results, UPSC Civil Services Main 2011 Results

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has announced the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2011 results. 910 candidates cleared the UPSC Civil Services examination 2011. Out of the 910 candidates who passed the examination,  420 are General category candidates, 55 OBC category candidates, 157 SC category candidates and 78 ST category candidates, a total of 715 male & 195 female.

The written examination in October-November, 2011 saw 11984 candidates passed and Personality Test interviews held in March-April, 2012 were cleared by 2417 candidates.

Shena Aggarwal became the topper in the merit list of UPSC Civil Services Exam 2011 released. Shena Aggarwal is followed by Rukmani Riar, Prince Dhawan, Mangesh Kumar, S Gopala Sundara Raj, Gitanjali Brandon, Himanshu Gupta, Harshika Singh, D Krishna Bhaskar and Aurangabadkar Amrutesh Kalidas.These candidates have been chosen for an appointment in Indian Administrative Service(IAS), Indian Foreign Service(IFS), Indian Police Service(IPS) and Central Services, Group A and Group B. Both of the top spots have been taken by female candidates.  The top 25 candidates consists of 19 male (01 visually challenged male candidate also) and 06 female candidates. There are 21 female candidates in top 100 list of candidates. Ms. Shena Aggarwal (Roll No. 233541) who has topped the Examination in her 3rd attempt is an MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. The 2nd rank holder, Ms. Rukmani Riar (Roll No. 27895) has done Master of Arts MA in Social Entrepreneurship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. The 3rd topper, Mr. Prince Dhawan (Roll No. 1804) is M. Tech (Elect. Engg.) from IIT, Delhi. Ms. Rukmani Riar and Mr. Prince Dhawan have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2011 in their 1st attempt.
