TNEA Counseling 2014 Dates, TNEA Counselling Schedule

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) ranks 2014 have been released. Candidates can check the TNEA ranks on the official website of TNEA-http://online.annauniv.edu/ and enter their application number and date of birth.

Candidates who were previously selected need to wait and keep a close eye on TNEA counseling 2014 news on the TNEA website. TNEA has informed on its official website that engineering counseling admissions which was to start from 26th June stands postponed and the TNEA will shortly inform about the TNEA Counselling 2014 Schedule and TNEA Random Number.

Around 1.74 lakh candidates who appeared and passed in TNEA 2014 exam, 92,731 students (59,427 male; 33,304 female) are first graduates and thus can apply for waiver of tuition fees.

This is what the official notification states, "In view of the orders passed on 26.6.2014 by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the Writ Petitions Nos. 538 of 2014 etc., granting 7 days time to AICTE to take a decision on all the applications pending before the AICTE for grant of approval to certain technical institutions and in view of the opinion expressed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court that it would not be appropriate to adhere to the present schedule of counselling published by the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2014), the General Academic Counselling for Engineering Admissions scheduled to commence from 27.6.2014 stands postponed".

TNEA Counselling 2014, annauniv.edu Rank Cards

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission 2014 rank cards have been issued by Anna University. Candidates can check their Anna University TNEA 2014 ranks online on the official website by entering their application number and date of birth. Candidates will soon be informed about the TNEA admission counseling schedule on the basis of the rank a candidate has got. A call letter is being sent to all successfully qualified candidates at their address with details mentioning TNEA counseling 2014 dates.

TNEA Admission counseling schedule 2014:
TNEA Counseling for academic General candidates: from June 27 to July 28
TNEA Counseling for Eminent Sports persons: from June 23 to June 24
TNEA Counseling for Differently Abled persons: June 25
TNEA Counseling for Vocational candidates: July 9 to July 20

On the basis of TNEA 2014 scores, the TNEA admission counseling procedure and TNEA Counselling Schedule is given below:
1. A candidate pays TNEA admission counseling fees and submit their Call Letter
2. Candidates are briefed and informed about the TNEA counseling procedure and process for admission.
3. Candidates are then required to get their certificates verified in original.
4. Based on the TNEA 2014 rank secured, Candidates can select a seat from the available ones. Good to have 5 choices before the TNEA counseling.
5. After the TNEA seats are allocated, candidates can pick their Allotment Order letter and get themselves enrolled in their assigned Tamil Nadu college.
