CBSE NET November 2017 Exam Date

National Eligibility Test (NET) date has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on its official website www.cbsenet.nic.in. The Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor exam will be held on November 19, 2017. The detailed CBSE NET November 2017 notification will be made available on the official website on July 24.

CBSE NET November 2017 Registration date:
The CBSE NET exam registration starts from August 1 and the last date to apply is August 30.

CBSE conducts the exam for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Assistant Professor post only or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) both in Indian universities and colleges on behalf of UGC.
The NET exam is held twice a year, usually in the months of June and December, but since the past one year, it is held in the months of July and January.

No PhD without NET
As per UGC new regulations which it has uploaded on the cbsenet website, getting admission to PhD will be somewhat difficult now.  The draft regulation states that the institutions which come under 'Category III Institution' would enroll candidates who have qualified the NET or SLET or SET examinations for their PhD courses only.
