JEE Advanced 2016 Registration


The JEE Advanced registrations starts today i.e April 29 and end on May 4. The Joint Entrance Exam is held for admissions to various Bachelor's degree programmes in the eighteen IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM), along with other reputed engineering institutes. JEE Advanced 2016 exam date is on May 22.

How to register for JEE Advanced 2016?
Candidates need to follow these steps in order to register for JEE Advanced 2016 exam:

Visit the official website of JEE Advanced.
Login on the Jee Advanced website and give basic data like the choice of the language of question paper (English or Hindi), the choices for the cities of examination
Upload the scanned copies of necessary documents
Pay  the registration fee. Candidates must note that registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable
Candidates must take a print-out for future use after submitting.

JEE Advanced 2016 Paper Pattern:
The JEE Advanced exam consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration and will be held as per the following schedule:
Paper 1: May 22 ( 9 am to 12 pm)
Paper 2: May 22 (2 pm to 5 pm)

JEE Advanced 2014 cut offs have been released. The cut offs for JEE Advanced 2014 exam have been announced for each category and the Common Merit List. Candidates should note that scoring marks above the qualifying marks for their respective category cn only take part in the admission counselling process.

JEE Advanced Cut Off 2014:
1. Common Merit List (CML) candidates: 152 marks
2. OBC (NCL) candidates: 117 marks
3. SC candidates: 74 marks
4. ST candidates: 63 marks
5. PwD candidates: 63 marks
6. Preparatory candidates: 53 marks

In the JEE Advanced 2014 examination held on 25th May, around 1.26 lakh candidates registered and only 27,151 candidates managed to pass the examination so this shows that only 21% of candidates passed the examination. 9,784 seats are available in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and ISM Dhanbad.

In the JEE Advanced Cut Off marks, 19,416 candidates are from the common merit list, 6,000 candidates are on the OBC (NCL) merit list, 4,400 candidates are on the SC merit list and 1,250 candidates are on the ST merit list out of 27,151 candidates who passed the exam.

The JEE Advanced results 2014 topper is from Rajasthan, his name is Chitrang Murdia who topped with flying colours. In the JEE Advanced 2014 exam, he scored 334 marks from the 360 maximum marks, a two mark increase from the previous year. JEE Advanced 2013 topper got 332 marks. Aditi from the IIT Roorkee zone got the seventh all India rank.

JEE Advanced exam consists of two papers each with three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There are objective-type multiple choice questions to be answered in three hours time.

Although the registration process of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2014 has come to an end, the candidates who had failed to upload their certificates or have uploaded wrong certificates have yet another chance to re-upload and rectify them. The File Uploading portal activated from 5 pm today i.e. May 10.

Jee Advanced official website states, "File Uploading will be made available from 10th May after 5.00PM and opened till 31st May 2014". The candidates should fill the following details on the official website of Jee to upload their certificates:

Jee Advanced 2014 result is expected to be announced on June 19. After it, the candidate has to select a course and then seat allocation process will start. The First round of Jee Advanced seat allotment will take place from July 1, second round of seat allotment will start from July 7 and third round of seat allocation will be held from July 12.

Candidates can download the Jee Advanced Admit Cards 2014 uptill 24th May  as the JEE (Advanced) – 2014 examination is going to take place on 25th May. Check for your correct name, roll number of JEE (Advanced ), photograph, signature, date of birth, address, and category along with name and address of the Examination Centre allotted and the language opted for the question paper. How to apply for the JEE Advanced 2014

The top 1.5 lakh ranks scorers in JEE Mains 2014 examination are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2014. JEE Mains 2014 was held for admissions to various corses at the NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded institutes while JEE Advanced scores will be used for admission to undergraduate engineering courses at the IITs and ISM Dhanbad. JEE Advanced 2014 appication process starts from May 4, 2014 till May 9, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Let's see what and how you can apply for the JEE Advanced:

How to apply for the JEE Advanced 2014

Step 1: Fill Registration Form:
Sign in with your JEE Mains 2014 roll number and password on the Jee website. If you are eligible for JEE Advanced owing to cut off marks, just create a new password. When your new account is created, you will see all the details you submitted at the time of JEE Mains 2014 will be readily available. Fill all the required fields like choice of examination centre, language of question paper and roll number of the Class 12 or equivalent examination, just remember that you will not be able to change exam paper language or examination centre after the registration.

Step 2: Upload Scanned Certificates:
Candidates should upload scanned copies of the following:
1. Date of Birth
2. Class 10 certificate
3. Class 12 certificate
4. Signature in JPEG format
5. Passport size photograph in JPEG format
6. Category/Sub-Category certificate if applicable
7. Year of first attempt in JEE (Advanced) if applicable

For female candidates, the application process is complete here as they are exempted from payment of examination fees. Just take a printout of the completed form for future, they will get a unique registration number generated. Male candidates proceed to Step 3 for fee payment.

Step 3: Pay Registration Fee
The registration fee for General/OBC male candidates is Rs 2,000 and the registration fee for SC/ST/PwD male candidates is Rs 1,000. Applicants can submit the registration fee online by Debit Card/Credit Card or Internet banking or submit the payment offline at any SBI Branch by bank challan. Once the required documents are uploaded, male candidates will automatically be directed to the State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page where they can select method of payment. After successfully submitting the fees, the registration page with a unique registration number will be available; candidates should take a printout to complete the application process.
